Safety first

The event safety plan can be found here: tinyurl.com/TurkuSafety. We highly recommend that all skippers, crew members, and volunteers familiarize themselves with it.

A FEW KEY SAFETY HIGHLIGHTS:

- If the Race Committee’s Starting and Signal vessel displays Flag V (Victor), all boats must tune in to VHF Channel 6, the designated safety channel.

- There will be at least three (3) security boats present in the racing area on all sailing days.

- Rescue teams trained in surface rescue will be stationed around the course area.

- First Aid services will be provided by the Finnish Red Cross, either on a security boat or a vessel from the Finnish Maritime Rescue Society.

- All official regatta boats are equipped with first aid supplies.

- In the event of an emergency, safety boats, race committee vessels, and jury boats are ready to assist sailors.
