This August, the shores of Turku will come alive with the thrill of the 8 Metre World Cup, one of sailing’s most beautiful and prestigious competitions.

You're more than welcome to join us on the water with your own boat. Please familiarize yourself with the restricted racing areas before heading out. For everyones safety, please keep clear from the racetrack and listen to our safety teams instructions.

Saxdor experience
Enjoy a unique experience onboard the Saxdor 400 and follow the regatta from right by the race area. Relax on the water with refreshments and light snacks, and top off the day with a delicious lunch or dinner at a selected restaurant – experience world-class sailing up close!

Right next to the race harbour, on the shores of a oak forest once the hunting grounds for the court of Turku Castle, you’ll find 19th century villas for rent during the regatta. We’ve also negotiated preferential room rates in hotels located in the city center right next to the river of Aura from where you can grab a water bus taking you straight to the race harbour in just 10 minutes.
