Katrina is an 8mR designed by Gösta Kyntzell and manufactured by Wilenius yard in 1939 in Porvoo, Finland. Katrina owns a K-certificate in the Registry of Classic Yachts, given by the Finnish Heritage Agency. Katrina is our way of keeping the wonderful heritage of Classic Yacht Racing alive. We follow Gösta’s design spirit: a true classic yacht has the right proportions & balance, the yacht looks good to your eye. While enjoying the beauty of yachts & racing, we are honoured to spend time with most wonderful & open hearted people onboard our entire fleet. This is a lifestyle beyond happy racing. The Katrina crew; Sebastian, Rasmus, Sami, Minna, Mikko, Aapo, Kasperi, Emil, Viki, Otto, Ville, Pekko, Sami & many many more. A fun fact: Built for the 1940 Olympics which didn’t take place, and the cruising mode gradually took over. Since 2022, the racing mode emerging; heater & speaker cabinets removed but brass lights remain.
